Coaching
is conducted on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting for corporations,
not-for-profit organizations and seminars.
Susan is a member of the International Coaching Federation (http://www.coachingfederation.org)
and a graduate of Coach University (http://www.coachu.com).She
also is a certified HeartMath Coach.
A Colorado resident from 1989-1998, Ms. Beaird worked for the
Women's Foundation of Colorado as an Interim Development Associate,
and, as a Team Leader of the Grants Selection Committee, NW Sector,
with duties including on-site visitations, analysis and evaluation
of proposals, and preparation of final recommendations to the
Board. She was a 1994 graduate of the Denver Community Leadership
Forum.
In 1996 Susan founded Women's Home Improvement, a non-profit organization
dedicated to recruiting, training and assisting women with low
income to obtain non traditional job skills and independent attitudes
that will lead to self sufficiency. Susan served as the first
Executive Director of WHI until the summer of 1998.
As founder and President, she developed Lickskillet Plantation,
Shreveport, Louisiana, into one of the top two commercial Thoroughbred
breeding operations in the region.
She received her BA in Political Science from Rhodes College (Memphis)
in 1965 and later completed graduate work in Business Administration
at LSU, Shreveport, 1977-78, and in Art History at SMU, 1987-88.
Her personal mission statement includes leading a life of happiness,
fulfillment and value by making a difference in both her life
and that of others.
Susan currently lives in Tennessee near her children and grandchildren.
